Wanted to love this boot.

"Wanted to love this boot. Normally wear a size 8 but this was way too big. The height of the ankle was just high enough to dig into my ankle. Saw older models in stores but not on line that had slightly lower ankle height. Had bought them during Black Friday so was exited by the deal but now will need to pay full price if I try the 7. 5. Wish there were more options for Polar Keene boots."

No breaking in

"These boots (Revel IV) have kept my feet warm and offer sturdy support, good sized toe box, deep treads and I wear them year round. My feet do not get hot in the summer. Most of the trails are very rocky and have tree roots, tree debris on them so they get a work out. I have hiked through small amounts of water and my feet stay dry. This is my 2nd pair and now I wish I ordered a different color but other than that. . . they get mediocre to poor reviews by hiking boot critics but I disagree. They seem sturdier than the Targhee model."

Are these boots recommended for fall/winter only? Or can they be worn year-round? (hard to assess if the insulation would make them unsuitable for the summer and spring): We would not recommend this style for spring/summer. These are specifically meant for winter weather and icy/snowy conditions.
We are going to Iceland and some people are suggesting to buy crampons for the boots. Do I need them for these boots ( womens Revel IV Polar Waterproof Boot)? if so will crampons fit?: This style is crampon compatible, if necessary.
Is the insole removable if I want to wear the boots with custom orthotics?: Yes, the insole is removeable.
How does the fit compare to the Terradora or Tempo Flex?: This style has KEEN's original fit, whereas the Terradora has a more contoured fit.
Are these composite-toe and EH rated? (I should have checked before I ordered 🤦🏼‍♀️): No, this is a winter style hiking boot, not one of our Utility styles.
