"Women's Newport H2 are advertised here as the 'Women’s Original Wide Fit Footwear' which is puzzling to say the least. Not only they are narrow, but the sizing is completely off. Keen's sandals were my got to footwear for a long time. Not anymore, as this is a second pair I'm returning due to the poor fit. Somewhere along the way the design/fit/sizing must have changed for the worst. Hoka is now my new go to for hiking sandals."

"Smaller fit than my Whisper sandals from Keen so harder to get on and off. Good support and great for coastal walking. Rear strap a bit scratchy. Previous pair had smooth straps against the heel, hoping these will wear in."

Look good on Bike and at Dinner

"I’m a bike guide and I needed a multi use shoe I could wear while guiding, walking off trail to point out sites, and then wear out to dinner at the end of the day. These are perfect! With the light colored sole, they are cooler while biking. The air vents really cool off the feet. They are extremely comfortable, grip petals and rock, are cushioned in the right spots, and dress up quite nicely so I don’t need to pack an extra pair of shoes. Win, win, win!"

Great shoe but. . .

"I've always loved Keen shoes for the wide toe box in particular. I have a couple of pairs of Women's Newports from 3 or 4 years ago, so I decided to get this H2 pair. It's a good shoe but the toe box is noticeably narrower than my other pairs. This, despite claims by Keen that the fit is the same. It's not."

Q&A

Insoles for my watershoes
Hi Twila, the Newport H2 are not suited for removable insoles.
I am a pretty solid 8.5 in Women's. I have wide feet and a high arch. Your site recommends sizing up to a 9 but also boasts about a wide toe box... Would I be better suited with a size 9 or size 8.5? For reference, I fit in size 8 Crocs, Adidas, and Dr. Martens, but a size 8 in Tevas or Converse fits too small and/or narrow. Thanks for the help!

I'm going to Japan for rainy season and will be walking pretty much all day for 2 weeks. Will these shoes be comfortable for lots of walking in the rain?
as long as you're taking wet feet into account, this style is very comfortable for all day use.
