"great support good for my bad knees. I wish toe box was a little roomier, like the Targhee ll, but I'm able to wear regular width. Targhee lV that bought last year had to be wide. My only complaint is the shoe laces. Like the Targhee lV they don't stay tied, constantly re-tying my shoes."

Good shoe - waterproof, but light on cushioning
"I've worn these shoes in several airports and a few long walks & hikes in Minnesota. They are waterproof and nice looking, so I've worn then in morning grass and in board meetings--they seem well-made and are not clunky like the old school Keens I wore for many years. I normally buy New Balance wide shoes but thought I'd return to Keen for a try. These are good shoes for town but I'll go back to New Balance for activity, comfort, and width. Great to see Keen branching out into competition w/ the long distance footwear styles of Astral and others."

Like them, really comfortable to
"Like them, really comfortable to wear. Have not worn them on trails yet but the general feeling is they will wear well. When for a uk size 12 which fits nicely. Good traction on the soles. The only downside, would like them lighter in weight"

Fit is good although I'd
"Fit is good although I'd prefer a slightly higher toe area. Lovely and light. Wasn't sure about the colour but my other half loves it. I'm now happy wearing them about town as well as for dog walks in the countryside. Will I buy again? I'll wait to see how they wear. Delivery quick as promised."

Light, supportive, comfortable, grippy!
"Just spent a week hiking in northern California (Redwood forests, rocky beaches, etc. ) and these shoes gave me zero issues. They're supportive without feeling overly stiff, and the laces have a unique texture which seems to help keep them from coming undone. It never did rain during my trip, so I never got to test how waterproof they actually are. Great work on this shoe overall, Keen!"

Tried them on in the
"Tried them on in the house and they felt comfortable. However, as the day went on they have rubbed my left toe so are now consigned to the wardrobe. Gutted as they are, by and large, comfortable."

Very disappointed with these. Exclusively
"Very disappointed with these. Exclusively due to sizing. OG fit so expected them to be like other Keen shoes with OG fit but these came up much smaller and narrower, and the narrower aspect was the most disappointing. I have the cheaper hightrail and they are amazing shoes. Perfect fit, waterproof and so on. Only slight negative with those is the sole is very unforgiving. The sole and cushioning on these is much better but. . . . they're too tight and as I'd worn them outside, can't return them. My fault of course, but it's hard to test a walking shoe fully in your living room. . . . Is what it is. Bought them at the end of the winter season so will give them another go later this year in the hope they give a bit. . . but. . . disappointed overall with the lack of consistency in sizing across shoes that claim to be the OG fit style."

Great shoe
"I’m a woman who wears a men’s shoe because I need a D width (men’s medium)and finding a woman’s shoe in a D width is challenging. The Apex is a great addition to my standby shoe, the Keen Targhee hiking boot and shoe, which I have been wearing for years after my previous go-to running shoe started not fitting well. My feet have both been surgically reconstructed after tendon ruptures, and, I broke my ankle very badly four years ago, so finding shoes that fit is challenging. The Targhee low has been the only shoe I wear since my injury, and believe me, they have their place in my shoe arsenal. THIS shoe, however, takes the excellent design and fit of the original Targhee to another level. They are lighter and more flexible. The design is lovely. And, for the first time since I broke my ankle, I can walk without limping or needing a cane. Keen has really created a unique shoe for both everyday wear, walking, light hiking, maybe running. I like the addition of the heel lock double eyelet feature a lot. My only quibble is that the laces are extremely short and I had to replace them with a longer lace. I hope the next iteration of this shoe comes with longer laces."

Great shoe
"They are comfortable but I wish they were easier to slip on for my use. I haven’t wore them much but they are made good."
