Boots

"This post is in response to a pair of boots that I have. The first set on the left is my first pair. . . about 3 years old. I liked them so much I got a 2nd pair a year in and left them in the box for a year. . . . now about 6 months into the new pair they are starting to rip apart. . . . my old ones I still use with a insert and are holding up 10 times better than the new pair. Maybe I just got a bad pair? But I ha e raved to a lot of people that these have been my favorite work boots. Thoughts? Thanks, Ariel"

Men's Targhee Apex Waterproof Hiking Shoe

"I've bought at least a dozen Keen hiking boots/shoes, always in the rugged style of the Targhee IV. This latest pair of Apexes is a departure from those rugged models and is the lightest one yet. As is typical of Keen boots and shoes, the Apexes fit comfortably right out of the box. The shoes provide a noticeable cushion when my feet hit the ground. I walk mainly on paved roads now, and it remains to be seen how long the Apexes can endure my 4-mile daily walks. My previous Keen walking shoes have always worn out on the outside of the heels after about 2 1/2 years of use. The tops of those shoes are still good, and so are the laces. Those shoes are build to last, and they do. Hope the Apexes are the same. So far, so good. Keen makes a great product."

Very pleased with my purchase,

"Very pleased with my purchase, shoes are very comfortable and loving the wider foot box than my usual brand (which I shan't be buying again). My initial thoughts are that they are not as supportive as others, but they are actually very comfortable for what I have used them for. Haven't tested the waterproofing yet. Will definitely be trying some other models."

Bought two pairs

"Great shoe. Bought the first pair for a trip to Ireland. No break-in period needed. Very comfortable. Fit true to size. Loved them so much, that I bought a second pair when I returned from my trip"

Love these shoes

"The fit is perfect and toe room excellent. I am not sending them back. Can’t wait for the hike to start."

I've bought about half a

"I've bought about half a dozen pairs of Keen footwear over the last 10 years or so ((boots, shoes and sandals), and have been satisfied with all of them. Unfortunately, these shoes were not what I was expecting. The size UK 10, which I always order from Keen, were too small. Also, they fit felt narrower and a bit constricting. I had to return them."

Best ones yet

"great support good for my bad knees. I wish toe box was a little roomier, like the Targhee ll, but I'm able to wear regular width. Targhee lV that bought last year had to be wide. My only complaint is the shoe laces. Like the Targhee lV they don't stay tied, constantly re-tying my shoes."

Good shoe - waterproof, but light on cushioning

"I've worn these shoes in several airports and a few long walks & hikes in Minnesota. They are waterproof and nice looking, so I've worn then in morning grass and in board meetings--they seem well-made and are not clunky like the old school Keens I wore for many years. I normally buy New Balance wide shoes but thought I'd return to Keen for a try. These are good shoes for town but I'll go back to New Balance for activity, comfort, and width. Great to see Keen branching out into competition w/ the long distance footwear styles of Astral and others."

Like them, really comfortable to

"Like them, really comfortable to wear. Have not worn them on trails yet but the general feeling is they will wear well. When for a uk size 12 which fits nicely. Good traction on the soles. The only downside, would like them lighter in weight"

Dave B. (5/5)

Fit is good although I'd

"Fit is good although I'd prefer a slightly higher toe area. Lovely and light. Wasn't sure about the colour but my other half loves it. I'm now happy wearing them about town as well as for dog walks in the countryside. Will I buy again? I'll wait to see how they wear. Delivery quick as promised."
