"Not as well made as Targhee 3 - soles are spongy and will surely not last as long as 3s. Also why keep changing all the colours? I’m buying hiking boots not high fashion! Loathe present colours but had to buy them as there are few options with suitably roomy toe box. Price is very high for what they are"

Almost loved them. . . .

"I received these boots about a month ago with high expectations after wearing a pair of the Targhee III for years. Like the Targhee IIIs, the IVs were very comfortable right out of the box, until I wore them about 5 times and I could feel a difference in the sole on my left foot. . . then the squeak began - ugh! It felt like an air pocket developed between the footbed and sole, and now, while still comfortable, I won't be able to wear them anywhere the noise isn't loud enough to drown out the annoying squeak. I will reach out to customer service and see what they can do - so maybe my review will increase."

love them so far, comfortable

"love them so far, comfortable from the outset. I have very wide feet and fit well. My normal size 7 was perfect ( glad the reviews mentioned you did not need to size up). I have struggled with my last 2 pairs of Merell being very slippy on smooth wet rock, yet to try these out on trails but hope they will be grippy, no issues on local walks. Quality seems good but early days"

A revelation- boots that actually

"A revelation- boots that actually fit! As I have wide feet I normally buy a size 4 and wear thick socks. As the boots relax my feet slide back and forth within the boots. I was able to buy a 3. 5 with a wide toe box and was able to wear for the first time for a 5-6 mile hike with absolutely no issues. An amazing pair of waterproof comfortable walking boots. I would highly recommend"

Amazing comfort but wear out after a couple years

"I have been so happy with my experience with my first pair of Keen hiking boots. My favorite part is the wide toe box which makes them so comfortable. My only complaint is that I expected them to last longer than they did. I got this pair about 2. 5 years ago and the leather on the sides have cracked which has resulted in them no longer being waterproof. I've gotten a lot of good miles out of these but hope the next pair lasts a little longer since these are a premium quality boot."
