I already had a pair

"I already had a pair of these but bought another pair for backup. These boots are the best hiking boots for the shape of my feet. They are very comfortable and supportive. I fully expected pain and even bloody toes after my day hike to the Torres del Paine Base in Patagonia, but - nothing, not even the slightest pain. They are the best for me!"

Well fitting boot right out

"Well fitting boot right out of the box. I ordered up half a size and am very happy with the extra room for my toes to spread while my heel stays locked down. I would appreciate a second bootlace point on the ankle as I am having difficulty adjusting the top of the boot so that the tongue does not press down too hard. I have only walked about 6 miles so far in the boots and looking forward to a long hike to see how they perform."

I bought these boots because,

"I bought these boots because, as I've got older & having a partial plantar plate tear, I've found my feet have spread & I needed a wider toe box which these boots have. The boots felt comfortable & I had more room in the toe box, but I think maybe the whole foot was too wide for me. I wore them a couple times & ended up with a large bruise & a sore, red mark on my ankle which meant I was unable to wear them, nothing I tried improved this. I emailed Keen & I can't fault them, they suggested different things to try, etc. , but eventually I returned them for a full refund. I'm not sure if it was me, the boots or a mixture of both, but these boots weren't for me, however, Keen have been second to none to deal with."

Comfy but squeaky

"Love the roomy toe box. Very comfortable for extended walks. Walked thru a couple inches of standing water. When the shoes dried out the right boot developed a constant squeak. The squeak was loud enough and obvious enough that I started informing fellow birders that it was my boot-not a bird! So far the tread has remained intact- definitely something to squeak about!"

My Favorite hiking boot

"I have worn Keen Targhee boots for 17 years now. They are a great fit for my feet. Comfy right out of the box. My toes love the wide toe box. I do wear arch support inserts with them. My last pair got me through 753 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail!"
