"I am a woman with 8. 5 narrow feet. Keen used to make this rugged style for women. I wore mine out trekking Europe several times along with various moutanous hikes. It took years. Now, Keen women’s styles are all cutesy colors of nylon webbing. Not my shoe. So— I ordered the rugged leather sandal I love from the men’s section. Fabulous. I look forward to many good years of comfortable trekking."

"I have a 11-B feet and narrow heels, so adjustability is important to fit my narrow feet. These are easy to adjust and fit well. The foot bed has some cushioning, but is not spongy, which is nice. Very good, non-slip tread on the soles. The velcro at the heels does not latch all the way to the end, causing the grab-tabs to stick out more than I like. Thus far these are way better than the previous Teva sandals I wore out in a couple of years. We shall see how long these last. :)"

"I found my Targhees in my closet today. They looked brand new and I couldn't remember why I put them aside and went back to my older Keene's. Then I remembered the top strap popping off when I wore them. This model is very poorly designed. I wish Keene made open toes the same quality as my H2s. I've had several pairs and love them except when wearing them in the sand. They collect sand unlike the open toed sandals. Too late to return them. . . very disappointing."

"As a repeat order, I have over two year's summer wear experience. The sandals are extremely comfortable, easy to adjust, and wear extremely well. The only problem is remembering to take them off!"

"I've had these for just over a year now, worn them biking, hiking, wading, swimming; even the winter's snow didn't deter me from wearing them. Only a truly cold and wet day made me don my boots. They're plenty comfortable, keep a good grip on wet and tricky terrain, little issue traversing sand and mud with its wide footprint, and generous room and lining that has never given me blisters or pain. But sadly, I'm already having to research a different pair of sandals because, as I suspected when I first bought these, the leather just doesn't hold up over time. It's already starting to split in several places on one of the upper strap loops, a pretty key point that's tough to fix well! There's also the issue of the straps being too long, the "gray" really being a cool brown, and stitches coming undone here and there, but those are lesser problems to me personally. Genuinely, this sandal in a synthetic material that could actually survive the water as it claims would be a delight, like a nylon webbing. I'm not looking to be wasteful and buy a new pair of sandals every year or two, and definitely not at $135 a pop. I want a sandal I can rely on when I'm out in the middle of nowhere. And certainly differently colorways other than brown and slightly-less-brown would be a delight. Maybe a fun purple? :-) Ultimately, I would recommend these to someone as a casual shoe, maybe even good for hiking here and there. But they just don't seem to handle heavy use well in the long term."

"Can’t review the item because I haven’t received them yet. Over a month, so far 3 shipments and haven’t received any. UPS tracking shows the packages floating around Houston being “processed”. I’m answering questions based from previous ownership."
