I've had a few slippers

"I've had a few slippers in my time. These are amazing. As a guy with a garden office I'm back and forward on the decking in all weathers. These things are something else. Warm and comfy but its the outdoor robustness that's the key here. Well worth the money."

It Would Have Been a Five but…

"I love these slippers. They are really comfortable and look great. The big issue that I have is that the tag on the inside of one slipper is not sewn flush and if I do not wear socks its edge pokes my skin."

Solution to hardwood floors

"Our house is entirely hardwood floors, so having a shoe that I can wear indoors all day is important. The Howser III Slide gives me both support and comfort on a daily basis. My knees and back have hurt less since getting these shoes."

Okay, not great

"Had high hopes for these but disappointed. I like the styling. Not as comfy as I thought they’d be, needs more cushioning insole, memory foam or something. The bungee cord runs right across the top the foot and rubs/digs in—doesn’t even need the bungee adjuster realistically, not like you’re going to be running in these. . The back of the heel needs to be higher or better fitting, otherwise it both slips and is constantly in the way. Overall these could be a winner but fall short"

Bad odor

"I recently purchased these and the first couple of days they were great but then they started to develop a bad odor that will not go away. I am so disappointed since Keen is a reputable brand that typically makes quality products. Plus these are very comfortable but when the odor/stink is so bad you can't wear them you can't enjoy the comfort."

"I needed a replacement for my previous howser wool shoe as it is starting to show it age, wear and tear. I was hoping that this would fill its role. Unfortunately the lack of a real heel made it less useful. And once my dog bit the stretchy cord in half it was unable to be repaired. If you have a mouthy puppy or need a heel for a steady gate, I would not recommend. Will keep looking for a good howser replacement."

Are they warm but not hot if worn year round indoors?: Hi there Tommy, the Howser can be worn year round indoors.
Would they make a good indoor slipper replacement? i.e. do they have good arch support.: Yes, this style has medium arch support.
Two questions: 1: I need arch support---how are these for flat feet? 2: my toe box needs to be wide, how are the toe box designed for fit?: This style has ample room in the toe box and medium arch support.
Can you use orthotic insoles in the men’s Howser III slides: This style does have removable insoles, but we recommend speaking to the person who prescribed your orthotics to see if they think that this style is compatible.
Are the Men's Howser III Slides washable?: No, gently brush with a soft, damp sponge to remove loose dirt. Treat stains right away with a gentle cleaner. Air dry away from heat.
