Nice casual shoe
"I've been wearing Austins for over 10 years now and this one is just a bit better than the rest. What I like about it is the wide toe box and smooth leather finish that makes it a nice alternative between sneaker/hiker types and full on dress shoes. Also, I prefer the smooth leather to the previous Nubuck as it can be cleaned and even shined more easily. The leather is a little stiff in the tongue and I don't care for the flat laces which are just a little too short but I expect the leather to soften with use."

The Casual hiker
"After experiencing my first pair of Keen's in the Targhee IV hiking mid boot, I have been looking for something that I could wear to the office with the same comfort. The Austin comes very close. I would think it would be really hard to match the Targhee in terms of support and comfort, and it is, but the Austin is a different type and purposed shoe. I can wear it with casual semi-dress slacks in the office. It looks good. No, its not a dress shoe but for 90 percent of what I wear a shoe for, it is great. I like the leather, its good quality. I am happy with the purchase. I still love my Targhee IV's more!"

New favorite shoe
"I bought a pair of Austins about two years ago, when my previous pair of Keen’s got to old and grungy to wear to church (I still wear them for working outdoors, though). I love these shoes. They’re well made, comfortable, sturdy enough to wear on hikes, and look great whether you’re wearing casual or “nice” clothes. I came to the Keen website today to buy another pair and thought I would leave a review while I was here."

Stitching Came Undone
"I bought a pair of the Men's Austin Shoes. After awhile the stitching started coming apart above the toe. I'm 70 years old, and retired, so they weren't used for work, just everyday wear. I started buying Keen work shoes before retirement, and always liked them. But after this, I'm done."

Returning for a replacement
"I have been wearing Keen Austins for a number of years now. They are my favorite shoe by far. I bought this pair online in the same size as all of my other pairs. There are three spots where my ankles are being rubbed at the point where they first contact the shoe. I have manipulated those spots a lot with my fingers, and worn the shoes on and off for a week, but no change. So I’m returning them for the same thing hoping for a different result. Always a possibility with shoes, one of the reasons I normally only buy shoes in person, but my luck up to point has been good with Keen. Hopefully no issues with the next pair!"

Very Comfortable-Love Style-Not durable
"I really love wearing the Austin’s, I have a brown pair and like them so much I bought a black pair two years later. Like others have said however, the stitching breaks down and the sole debonds. Now my black pair is also starting to debond. Unfortunately, that shouldn’t happen at $120 a pair. Quality need a to improve if I am going to buy another pair"

Well-made, versatile, and comfortable
"These have become my first choice for casual wear. They are comfortable and keep my feet happy even with a lot of standing or walking. They are also very versatile and work great from jeans all the way up to dockers and a sport jacket. The mix of comfort and versatility also makes them great for work trips where you don't need a full-blown dress shoe. I'm writing this review after a few years of owning and they have held up very well."

Great fitting shoe with a
"Great fitting shoe with a wide toe box and a small drop from heal to toe. I owned a pair many years ago so was very happy to find they are still made and look to be just as good as they used to be. The soles eventually gave up on my last pair but not until they were well worn and on their last legs. Fingers crossed I get as many years use out of these."
