Pleasantly surprised
"Shoes and sneakers. My constant complaint. I've developed neuropathy in my feet over the years and have had surgery on several toes that become deformed. I need a wide toe box and can't get around without stuffing orthotics and memory foam into my shoes. My feet become scorching hot on the bottoms when we go for a dog walk. I saw these hiking shoes as a cross between sneakers and sandals with good ventilation. I've been wearing them every day with thin socks for the week or so that I've had them and am delighted at the comfort! I use a shoe horn to get them on so my orthotics and foam don't shift. Will get a second pair – half size bigger – to wear with thicker socks."
