What a wonderful shoe? I
"What a wonderful shoe? I have been looking ages for a suitable walking boot for me, I have fallen arches, weak ankles, and bunions. Not only do these shoes have plenty of room, being mid-length when fastened they hold my ankles in a great position without any friction when walking. The lugs are perfect for pulling the fastenings together. The boots themselves are very lightweight and smooth to the touch. Highly recommended."

Like for like Replacement for
"Like for like Replacement for a Targhee 3. I bought the same size but unfortunately these are much longer , and deeper but the right width, than the targhee 2 and 3, I've had in the past. I've tried on the size below which appears ok, however they are narrower, so I'm not sure they will be a suitable replacement. Real shame as it's hard to find women's wide walking boots. Otherwise appear good quality."

Absolutely love them. So comfortable
"Absolutely love them. So comfortable from the get go! Light and definitely waterproof as I tested them on the day they arrived and went on a hike. I’ve worn them a lot already and am very pleased with how comfortable and light they are. The toe box is wide for comfort. Love the colour too. Would definitely recommend. Ordering was easy. Delivery was quick!"

I already had a pair
"I already had a pair of these but bought another pair for backup. These boots are the best hiking boots for the shape of my feet. They are very comfortable and supportive. I fully expected pain and even bloody toes after my day hike to the Torres del Paine Base in Patagonia, but - nothing, not even the slightest pain. They are the best for me!"

TARGHEE IV vs TARGHEE II
"I will probably keep them as I do not feel like searching other brands. I am not sure of the comfort level totally yet, as I have only worn them around my house. I DO NOT LIKE THE NEW LOOK. I loved my Targhee II's. They looked great ( toe layout in particular) and they were truly comfort right out of the box. I could have been a salesperson for them. I owned about 10-12 over a 20 year period. We humans always strive to improve things - but sometimes if something is just really good, don't change it. There are probably folks who love the IV. I had to move back to Florida so my hiking days are almost over. But I have bad feet so the Keen Targhee is perfect for me. I wear them all the time. I am very sad I cannot even purchase the Targhee II any more. The colors got boring after you started making the III and IV. But the good looks and good fit never changed."

"Early days, but seems like a good fit. Laces slip a bit, but guessing that’s just because they’re new. Nice wide toe box, which is why my podiatrist recommended them. Like the fact they don’t need breaking in too."

Really pleased with these shoes.
"Really pleased with these shoes. I tried out 2 different brands that promised wider toe boxes but proved not to be the case. Was finally recommended to try Keen's. glad I did. The shoes were comfortable from the start and remained so after attempting several long walks in them. I trust they will also hold out when I climb Ben Nevis in September."

Well fitting boot right out
"Well fitting boot right out of the box. I ordered up half a size and am very happy with the extra room for my toes to spread while my heel stays locked down. I would appreciate a second bootlace point on the ankle as I am having difficulty adjusting the top of the boot so that the tongue does not press down too hard. I have only walked about 6 miles so far in the boots and looking forward to a long hike to see how they perform."

I bought these boots because,
"I bought these boots because, as I've got older & having a partial plantar plate tear, I've found my feet have spread & I needed a wider toe box which these boots have. The boots felt comfortable & I had more room in the toe box, but I think maybe the whole foot was too wide for me. I wore them a couple times & ended up with a large bruise & a sore, red mark on my ankle which meant I was unable to wear them, nothing I tried improved this. I emailed Keen & I can't fault them, they suggested different things to try, etc. , but eventually I returned them for a full refund. I'm not sure if it was me, the boots or a mixture of both, but these boots weren't for me, however, Keen have been second to none to deal with."

"My second pair of Keens, no reason to change, the first pair lasted well. Comfortable as soon as I tried them on. My last pair were size 5, reading the comments I ordered 4. 5 this time, (my actual size) and they fit perfectly."
