"This is a shoe for crazy people, and I am one of them. Would never use these for hiking because the fish net crosses the bottom of the shoe. A scree slope or Hawaii style lava flow would slice the net to pieces. The shoe is comfortable, slips on easy and the bottoms do not track dirt into the house from the back yard. These are a city shoe, imagine tramping around Portland in these, hunting down Stumptown coffee. Maybe wear them to a protest against gillneting instead of carrying a sign!"
